Ravalli Family Medicine was founded by Drs. Lawrence Brouwer and Kathleen Harder-Brouwer. They are the sole owners of the office. In addition to our Family Physicians, Ravalli Family Medicine has two Physician Assistants and a staff of eight.
Lawrence D. Brouwer, MD
Larry is a native of Michigan and a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine. After residency, he and Dr. Harder-Brouwer practiced for two years on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, where they came to love the state of Montana. He has been practicing in the Bitterroot Valley since 2001. He is board certified in family medicine, with special interests in procedural medicine, including colonoscopy, EGD and vasectomy. He also works part-time as a hospitalist physician at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. He and Dr. Harder-Brouwer have been married since 1993. His hobbies include bike riding, photography, hiking and woodworking. Larry’s photography is featured in the exam rooms of Ravalli Family Medicine.
Kathleen Harder-Brouwer, MD
Kathi is also a native Michigander and met Dr. Brouwer at Wayne State University School of Medicine. After school, both doctors attended residency at Grand Rapids Family Practice Residency, in Grand Rapids Medicine. It was during residency that the doctors first visited the Indian Health Service (IHS) site on the Blackfeet Reservation that served as their first jobs. After a two year stint with the IHS, both doctors returned to Michigan so that Kathi could work as a faculty physician teaching residents in Grand Rapids. A mutual love of Montana drew them back and they were pleased to call the Bitterroot Valley home. Kathi is also board certified in family medicine and has a special interest in women’s and children’s health. Her hobbies include dancing, biking and being a mom. Larry and Kathi have two daughters, Megan and Zoe. Kathi also serves on the board of the Corvallis School District.
Allisun Jensen, PA-C
Allisun is a graduate of the University of Utah’s Physician’s Assistant (PA) program. A background of work in the healthcare field drew her to the PA program, which allows her to utilize her clinical and interpersonal skills. She is a native of Wise River, Montana and returned to the state after the completion of her training. She has two sons, Blaine and Jameson. Her medical interests include pediatrics, women’s health and dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, and spending time with friends and family. She is also the chair of the advisory board for the Linda Massa Youth Home in Hamilton Montana.
Shaun Lalonde, PA-C
Shaun grew up in Missoula. His first health care job was with the ambulance service in Missoula. He spent 12 years working as a paramedic before deciding he wanted to develop longer term relationships with his patients. He moved on to do his Physician Assistant training at the University of Washington, graduating in 2010. He moved to Hamilton shortly after graduation. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, golfing, hiking and fishing in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Shaun also previously owned his own gymnastics center, where he taught many youth of the Missoula area. He still can be found volunteering at Velocity Gymnastics here in Hamilton.
